October 19th, 2026 | Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the season after doctors discovered multiple blood clots in the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback's lungs, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hurts will undergo treatment involving blood thinners that is expected to sideline the three-time Pro Bowler for at least three months, sources informed of the diagnosis told Rapoport and Schefter. Hurts' agent, Nicole Lynn, and the Eagles released a statement Monday detailing Hurts' condition. Lynn and the Eagles said Hurts has deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, meaning a blood clot traveled from his legs to his lungs.

October 14th, 2026 | Duane "Keffe D" Davis, a 63-year-old former gang leader, has been sentenced to 40 years to life in prison for orchestrating the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur. Judge Carli Kierny handed down the sentence on October 13, 2026, following Davis's conviction in August for first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon.
Davis is the only person ever charged and convicted in connection with Shakur's death, which occurred near the Las Vegas Strip. The conviction was largely based on Davis's public statements, podcasts, and his 2019 memoir, where he claimed responsibility for supplying the gun used by his nephew, Orlando Anderson.
